Our Story
In the summer of 2012, Chef Dom Tesoriero launched Mac Truck NYC at the Historic Saratoga Race Course in Upstate New York. With the help of friends and family, Dom transformed an old pizza truck into the Original Mac Truck, quickly becoming a favorite among racing fans. The success at Saratoga paved the way for Mac Truck’s next big move—rolling into Manhattan as NYC’s first and only mac and cheese food truck. The streets of Midtown and FiDi soon buzzed with excitement as New Yorkers lined up for the cheesiest lunch option around.
By 2018, Mac Truck had grown to three trucks serving major events like GovBall, NYC Comic Con, and Afro Punk. On New Year’s Eve 2018, Dom met Lee Pedone, and the Mac Truck journey expanded westward to Texas. Together, they established a strong presence in DFW, developed a manufacturing and distribution arm, and launched a franchise company with the vision of bringing Mac Truck’s cheesy goodness to every state.
